LAB / 03 — CONTRACT

Predictable access.
Traceable requests.

A concise guide to the conventions used by the Core customer API. No authentication tokens or live customer endpoints are provided here.

The conventions

Versioned paths
The customer API uses an /api/v1 namespace. Deployment-specific base URLs and the complete contract are supplied during an implementation review.
Public identifiers
Customer-facing resources use public UUID identifiers. Authorization still checks access to the requested record.
Scoped access
Authenticated customer context and application scopes keep records within their intended access boundary.
Request correlation
An X-Request-Id supports correlation between requests, interface errors and operational logs.
Predictable responses
Documented errors, pagination, filtering and rate limits belong to the versioned contract. Provider responses must not be treated as domain state without validation.

A deliberately small fixture

This is fictional teaching data. Its wrapper is explanatory and does not claim to reproduce a particular production response schema.

No request is sent to an application server. Downloads are static files.

Before integration

Review the full contract, access scopes, error handling, retry behavior and provider dependencies with the implementation owner. The complete private API documentation remains the source of truth.
